To be fair, most single family housing is absolutely retarded. You could easily double, triple, possibly even quadruple in some cases, the number of housing units available in suburban areas by allowing developers to build rowhouses and townhouess on single family lots and reducing the required amount of acreage per lot to build.
And such houses can, and often ARE very nice if built right. Heck, I know a lot of people near retirement age who're actively LOOKING for a townhouse to move into, because they don't want to move into an apartment, but don't want to deal with a yard and all the hassles that come with home ownership in their retirement. (Keeping up a house is basically a second job)
Now having said that, I feel like apartments also get a bad wrap more than they should. Yes some "Low income housing" is basically just like, tiny cubicles meant to stack people like sardines. And that type of housing should be done away with in my opinion. It's just depressing to think about.
But most people need to realize, that low income housing isn't the only type of apartment developments in existence. That IS what you'd mostly find in the inner city, but when you start looking for suburban apartments, they're typically much larger (1,000-3,000 square feet compared to 500-800 square feet), and much nicer.
Suburban Apartment communities are a thing, where you basically have a bunch of nicer, condo level, apartments that you rent out in a larger, but lower density building. Which basically has the same upsides as a townhouse or rowhouse, but with a slightly lower rent in most cases since apartments, no matter how nice, command lower rent than an actual house.
Of course that's not what the cabal wants. They want to import the ghetto into nice suburban neighborhoods, which needs to be stopped I agree. But people shouldn't just crap on anything that isn't single family housing. It's all contextual based on the area, style of apartment, targeted renter base, etc.
