The benefit is great, actually.

Btw, when I was in EOD, we regularly flew in transports without markings. Every unmarked a/c I ever flew on was part of a black op. So, there's that.

yup. If you look at Hurlburt Field in Florida (SW of Eglin AFB)...you will notice that most of the aircraft, especially the MC-130 Combat Talons are sterile from the air. Eglin is the same way. This area is where the snake eaters dwell.
