I just cannot believe the simple-mindedness of so many normies who cannot understand that there were two groups there that day.
There were a million patriotic, peaceful Trump supporters who wanted to show their numbers to support the Senators in their decisions to contest the stolen states. (We wanted the procedings to go on, uninterrupted.)
Then the other group had the agenda of stopping the procedings, to prevent states from being contested and debated.
The group with ear pieces, helmets, shorts, or black attire with gas masks were the latter group. They were not protesters, but were paid rioters and were violent and destructive.
Which group got their way? Not the protesters. We lost our chance for the two-hour debates per contested state. Which group benefitted from the riots?
Which group passed a bill to prevent that procedure from ever being allowed again?

https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/4573 at first, it didn't pass.
So, then, they snuck it into the omnibus bill in Dec of 2022.
