Most all train tracks are near rivers it seems. Every river I kayak has a train track running along it at some point and usually for a pretty good distance. I always thought it was crazy because I have yet to go on an overnight kayaking/camping trip where I was not awakened by a darn train horn or screeching metal rail cars on tracks during the night or been able to do a full run without the same noise at some point during a peaceful float.
