It is a never ending battle telling people this. Constantly, I have to remind people we are not a Democracy. They look at me like I have three heads. Until they understand that, they will mis-understand so much, especially the fact that when the powers that be say ,"Our democracy", they are not talking about the U.S. Republic, they are talking about "Their Oligarchy."

No! you're just as bad a saying we are a democracy! We are a REPRESENTATIVE Republic! A republic is what Roman was. (Which we are now, I guess) where you vote for a predetermined elite. Then, even that was abolished after the first emperor.

Pledge of Allegiance says, “and to the Republic”

They also loved liberty and not freedom.

Still use the word democracy when redpilling leftoids.

It hacks their brain and lowers their defenses to truthful messages.

"We need voter ID and paper ballots to enhance election integrity, to PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY."

It's not a dirty word, either, if you use a dictionary definition like:

a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections [Merriam-Webster's surprisingly neutral def]

or

a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives

BTW these definitions are incredibly close to ones for "republic"

There is no left/right, it's all global authoritarian governance vs. independent self-governance
