Panicked Google Issues "Code Red" Directive for Employees to "Stuff AI Into Everything." What Could Go Wrong?
OpenAI continues its march to take over the world, much to the chagrin of the Masters of the Universe over at Google – whom everyone (themselves included) assumed would be the first and dominant name in artificial intelligence. Now, with the overwhelming s...
I see this as Google is going down so they need the AI stuffed into everything to make it had to fix the censoring.
Similar to how Elon Musk complained that people on Twitter were being censored by code baked into Twitter that he has not figured out how to get rid of yet, the same here: Woke/bad results for years after (a potential) White Hat take over.
That's a very intriguing thought
Google's parent company is Alphabet which his deep ties to the CIA. So this threatens the D'S content filtering directly.
No king rules forever.
Nor should they. Kings that rule too long often meet a disastrous fate.
It's much harder to parse AI and limit behaviors vs traditional filter alogrithms. You have to assign weights to AI to get desired outputs, you can end up with quirky results or overcompensating, and turning it into Bing where it literally becomes another search engine after lobotimizing the AI.
They really wernt ready for this. Ironically AI might usher in a new age of truthism, as people will flock to unfiltered AIs vs ones that have heavy content filtering.
The AI race has officially kicked off.
Last year when I was still working for Google, there was panic internally as they realized how complacent they have become as services like ChatGPT popped up and which was the first service to ever truly threaten not only Google itself but its entire profit model.
Maybe an AI gone rogue will make their search engine relevant and useful again?
