I like when Dave said yes there was an insurrection on Jan 6 but it was the democrats who were the insurrectionists. Think about this: without violence it looked like several states were not going to be certified. When it was known by the committee that there was enough senators and congressmen that were going to vote no, I believe word was sent out to the police and bad actors to start harassing the patriots and acting up and pushing the crowd to push back. In that way they could stop the proceedings and push the insurrection narrative and regroup.
