Have you heard of a kill switch? It's like insurance to keep yourself alive, meaning if you're killed or disappear, certain information about people you have blackmail on will be released OR other certain things will be put in motion. For example, a certain wetwork will be put in motion. Meaning after you're death/disappearance, someone you had a relationship with will be assassinated by a prearranged group. Don't be naive to think all of these fail-safes to keep these people alive were not put into place so they wouldn't be taken out.
