Actually Vietnam was probably the last war where we were justified being there - and we had it won until we pulled out and then didn't honor our treaty obligations to come back if necessary (the terms of the treaty also were pretty ridiculous in terms of basically allowing the communists to continue in the South).
Imagine if South Vietnam (or, preferably, the entire country) was like South Korea....
