Metals carry the least amount of risk. Everything other than metals grow in risk. Imagine an upside down pyramid where gold is at the bottom and risk grows wider as the pyramid grows higher. Everything above gold is a derivative and all of their combined value will fal down the ever narrowing path into metals. It will always be exchangeable. Through an actual exchange or by simple bartering . It will always hold value. Try exchanging anything digital when they cut the power. Try exchanging a piece of paper saying you own stock. Try exchanging reserve note when nobody sees any value in it. God has provided the only thing worthy of being called money and the Constitution recognizes that. Do as you like.
