I was doing a newspaper route with an 18 month old in a car seat in the backseat. It was 4:30 a.m. and it was a car newspaper route of 275 customers, my husband was doing the other 250 customers in another car. I had a flat tire. This was 46 years ago and no one had cellphones, everyone was sleeping. I never changed a tire in my life. I pulled out the car manual and learned. I had to jump on the tire iron to loosen the lug nut, but I did it. Where there is will, there is a way! I had to unload all of the newspapers from my trunk to get the spare and jack out. Big nail was in the tire. Where are the police at 4:30 a.m. when you need them! Lol.
