Still not sure Bridgen is trustworthy. While he does appear to be the only MP speaking out about this, he is alleged to be a Freemason with a history of sexual offences.
Regarding the sexual offences, even Wikipedia doesn't go after him on those:

Any sources you can link us to on the Freemasonry? This comes up and says the info is no longer on the Internet, but it's a very prominent result for whatever reason. I'd start in at 3:40.

The allegation was reported across the mainstream media, which as we know doesn't make it fact, but suggests we should tread carefully. Can imagine the 'voice of the truth movement' being outed as a means to smear the movement. Conversely it's also possible that this was a smear campaign against Bridgen to discredit him.
Unfortunately the original source which cited him as a Freemason is probably long gone.
