...from AZ to WA. My mom just suggested that I should get the clot shot - which is not an option - to avoid any 'trouble' on the road while staying at hotels etc.
Are there any precautions that I should take, like avoiding certain areas (other than SD, LA, SF, and Portland) and should I be worried/on the lookout for anything in particular?
Ironic, you are far more likely to have trouble on the roads from the clotshot, not the lack of. Look at what happened to this truck driver in suburbia:

To that end, I'd leave a lane between you and trucks particularly on the freeways and highways. Be alert for other drivers too straying out of their lanes. And try and travel outside when the busiest roads are likely to be at their busiest, not easy when you arent in places familiar to you, but metro areas at morning peak/afternoon peak can be worked around and circumvented.
Stay well, stay hydrated, and stay alert!
Holy crap, thank you for the tip!
I used to ride so I am pretty far-ahead looking and paranoid, but that was one thing I hadn't considered. I am planning to avoid the big CA cities and stay out in the outskirts.
I am looking forward to getting out into the world again for real after all the scamdemic BS.
