I do the “Woke Valley Girl” voice, and they suddenly pay attention. I can feel the brains dribbling out of my ears, but it works! The “vacant” stare gets re-booted.

True. You can actually see it on their faces when a normie tries to think about something outside of their normie-sphere. Disengage when you see it, and maybe try something lighter next time.
