I signed in to say it looks like mycelium but you beat me to it. You and Aspie get my updoots.
I collect spores, molds, and fungus.
Jokes aside, mycelium is really healthy for a lot of different flora and fauna. It passes nutrients back and forth between different trees in need, and can help plants get nitrogen...
Mushrooms are cool as fuck and so it's mycelium.
Mycelium make up the largest networks of living organisms upon the planet and serve symbiotic functions for a wide array of other plants and animals. There are Mycelium networks that span upwards of hundreds of miles, providing protection against disease, pests and nutrients for hundreds of species of animals, plants and trees. We have barely scratched the surface trying to understand how mycelium/mushrooms interact with the natural world. I'm fascinated with them, have grown edible ones like oyster, shitaki, lions mane... the "funny ones" have a lot of potential for healing PTSD, trauma, ego.... They got demonized during the war on drugs because they are so effective at making folks self aware of where they need change in their life to progress as a healthy human being. Wild stuff.
The funny ones are a tool, not a toy. Unfortunately a lot of people see them as toys, but when used as the tools they are, it allows you to see the world in a new light as well as see yourself for what you really are. Very useful if used correctly!
Id love to get into growing the culinary ones, though. Very interesting stuff!
