I'm fine with it. I've got leveraged shorts on banks and tech if they lost 50% in a day I only double my money. If they slow bleed down I make more.
My FAZ (inverse leveraged of financial institutions) has been doing pretty good this week.
Careful, I shorted a bank last week that got put into receivorship. My money is locked. I bet against them and won, and my money is unusable and my broker has "no information" on the status at this time.
It's via an ETF, so as long as it doesn't get delisted like when I tried to buy a Russian index...
Bold strategy, what happens if they continue to slowly trend up wards?
Then I lose some money. It's via an ETF, no margin. If banks trend upward too much then they would have to fall beyond a reasonable amount to recover the value.
I shorted them in November, and I'm up 10% so the actual decay isn't bad.
