I remember when on the old twitter (hopefully better now), parents pretty much had to sue to get such pictures of their kids off that platform (there were articles about one such specific case). Several requests to twitter to remove the illegal content were ignored.
What makes the previous twitter situation so disturbing is we now know the government had their own operatives inside twitter telling them what to do. They were telling them to keep CP on the site and running cover for them. If that doesn't tell you how degenerate the US government is, nothing will.
