Raccoon dogs . . Because we know Chinese people eat dogs, right?.

Only hole in that story is that the Wuhan market is a WET market.

This is also known as a seafood market over here in the West. Water is used to keep the produce ( i.e. seafood) fresh, and frequently the floor is wet.

I don't think raccoon dogs live in water, somehow. Let's see: Canidae family, so sort of like foxes, definitely not a fish. Duh.
