I spent five years not being able to sleep. Some nights I'd wake up unable to take a breath and had to quickly sit up in order to breathe. I was tired all of the time. The doctor didn't realize it was due to sleep apnea, as I don't fit the mold of the typical person who has it. I did a sleep study and that's when the problem came to light. I've been using a CPAP machine for several years and it's made all of the difference in the world. I sleep like a baby now. In my case, it seems to be something genetic, as I later came to find out that three other close family members have the same problem as I do. Don't knock it, fren. For some it is a life-changer.
Your roommate uses one just for fun or what?
My uncle has used one since the 80's. He would stop breathing for minutes at a time sometimes before getting a CPAP. He also sleeps with his eyes wide open. I saw this once as a kid while he was hooked to the machine and it freaked me the f out.
Another friend of mine who drinks way too much snores like an animal and stops breathing while sleeping as well. The noise he makes when he finally gasps for air is pretty intense.
What has probably changed since the 80's is that people are in worse shape than ever. Heavy drinking and obesity are the main causes of sleep apnea as far as I know.
My brother mentioned this the last time I saw him. He and I had all childhood vaccines. None of his children had a single one. He and I have horrible sinus allergies. His kids..... zero. No allergies to food or environment.

I stopped breathing for minutes at a time while sleeping. That is stupid not to treat. I would be dead today without it. Your narrow view is clowish.
I'm in good shape, I don't eat processed foods, I'm not vaxxed, and if anything, I'm almost underweight. I don't fit any of your stereotypes.
Assume what you want. When i was diagnosed i was perfectly fit. Assume much ahole?
I think its cause of the vaccines we kids took. It finally hit our bodies. That is y we are falling apart.
