Well whip it on us. I'd love to hear it.
I sing karaoke in Nashville and at home/work, but am not set up to record. I hated country music when I was forced to listen to it as a kid, i'm more rock and roll, but now I like some old school country.
I sing 5 or 6 Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, and Hank Sr songs. One of my favorite things to do is sing old country (I sing at AJ's mostly) then hear the young people comment sarcastically "I like to hear the old people sing the old stuff" and then I switch to Red Hot Chili Peppers or some other hard rock.
I will try and figure out a way to record it and put on youtube or something and send you a link.
My current plan is to rewrite the lyrics to Toto's Hold The Line song because it fits in well with holding the line in this whole Clown World Movie.
Bluegrass! I love hillbilly music. Just imagine sitting in a rocking chair on a porch on a rainy day, looking up at at the mountain across the way - just sippin' and strumin'. Banjo, 4 string bass, fiddle, harmony. Good times.
I believe we've talked about this before. I grew up listening to country music because my parents listened to Conway, Merle, Porter, Buck Owens and all the old timers like Roy Acuff and such. I started singing Loretta Lynn at the age of 4. I also have done karaoke and won 2 contests 2 years in a row at my company Christmas party. I however do not find myself ever doing any recording, but I love to listen to others. If/when you do record them, I would love for you to send me a link. I'll bet you're great. I must write you down in my book so I'll remember you the next time. God bless.
I'm ok when I'm warmed up. I wish I'd tried to sing when I was younger. My POS father was supposedly a good singer and maybe I inherited that from him.
Loretta Lynn was one or maybe the favorite of my sister.
Singing must run in your family.
