Years ago I worked witha Russian guy: at 11yo he was an illiterate marauder so he was forcibly put in the army.

14 years old, he had a master in electronics and computing and a chair in the Tomsk University.

Forget the pedopsychiatrists: kids need a good spanking when they desserve it. It’s good when it’s not a relief for the adult administering it: it has to be just and measured. Unpleasant but not humiliating nor crippling.
