Self-determination. They can give you "freedom" BUT withhold health and economic services, so what we want is "self-determination". We determine what we want, and need, and we want to live, our belief systems, how we raise our kids....and all services paid for with taxes should be given to us, no matter what.
That presupposes that government should be involved in our lives somehow. I'm just radical enough to believe we should rid ourselves of ALL government involvement with our lives. I want a government just small enough that we could drag it to the bathtub and drown it if we felt the need.
Medical care, for example, didn't become expensive until government got involved. If all government oversight, regulations, paperwork, edicts, mandates, and rules were removed from medicine, we would see the costs plummet back into the affordable range again. The same could be said for OSHA safety, business regulations, climate laws, minimum wage laws, and so on. Let the market decide what wages should be, NOT the damned GOVERNMENT.
I know this puts me out of step with 98% of the American people, but so be it.
I don't want a medal I just want what I've always wanted from the government...to be left alone.
