Do you think an average person who just ever lived paycheck to paycheck has any business running a nation? they can't even figure how to manage their own life very well.
It's not that you need to be rich to do it, it's that getting rich is just a "side effect" from the capacity one needs to have in order to do it, if that makes any sense.
Of course I'm talking about professionals/entrepreneurs here, people who work really hard to get/keep what they have.
