Birth control killed a lot too! My husbands mother was a good Catholic 17 yo when his 21 yo dad got her pregnant. 1958. Her mom loaded her in the car for a trip to FLA for an abortion. We live in Michigan. His mom refused to knuckle under and when she got back his folks married. 4 years later she had 3 little boys. And went on BC. She was 27 yo when she was declared terminal. Pulmonary hypertension killed her when he was 12.
