Yep. Live in a town of 7000 and there are about 50 registered offenders. The PD and sheriff's are all about slap on the wrist type shit. And for a while the newer DA was enforcing the failure to register charges, because they weren't being held accountable before by the previous DA. Then he got conveniently let go by the commissioners for working 2 counties at the same time, and he went to the adjacent county instead. They drive out the good people every time. I assume it's also because in small towns it's easier to find a place that's not within however many feet of any school, daycare, playground, etc.

Lot of folks get a "pedo pass" in prison, High school age folks fucking around they tend not to hold em to the same bar as regular pedos (IE 18 year old with a 17 year old). Eyes of the law views them the same though so they end up getting CSO status for life.

Mexicans also tend to ignore statutory regulations and will "marry" at like 14/15, which puts them into that same classification. Don't know how common that is in other cultures, but predominantly Mexican around me and see a lot of that.

I quite frankly don't care though, if we decided the pedo pass get lumped in with the lot, I'll just shrug my shoulders and say "fucked around and found out"
