I’m only 20 minutes in and enjoying it quite a bit. I can’t imagine losing track of a plane today. I remember this plane disappearing and have followed the story over the years. It’s such a crazy story!

My analysis at the time: The plane was flown to a base in southeast Iran. It was refueled and flown into the interior where it was moved out of site. The planned use of the plane was to carry a nuke into Israel. Early Iranian nukes are too big for a missile. Also the Israeli missile defense is a challenge.
