I'm surprised they haven't just planted a chip into his brain and don't have someone with a remove control directing him, like with a RC car or airplane. Have they not perfected that technology yet or is his brain just to damaged for it to work well with him?

Yes that technology has already been perfected and you won't need to take your cell phone with you everywhere you go anymore.
