What are they looking to accomplish here? Is this going to prevent Trump from running in 2024? It doesn’t appear so.

So what’s their ultimate goal? Because Trump is winning the court of public opinion, handily.

If their goal was to smear or generate negative media buzz about Trump, they are failing. It’s only making him more popular and confirming all his narratives about the Deep State, the witch hunt, etc., etc.

They aren’t damaging his 2024 run, they are bolstering it.

If their goal was to distract us, well they certainly succeeded at that. But at what cost?

Going full-Gestapo, creating a political martyr, energizing Trump’s base, scaring off Centrists and Independents.

Seems like a lot to give up just to distract us.

So unless this derails Trump’s 2024 run, they didn’t accomplish anything and only generated a massive net positive for Trump.

If this does somehow derail his 2024 run (unlikely), then we don’t have a country anymore and shit will likely hit the fan, as it should.
