Why has CBD been illegal for so long then? It just seems weird to me that our government is now all for full legalization of marijuana but stuff like ivermectin is getting disapproved everywhere.
Our government is not the type to give CBD, if it's that effective, so freely to the public. They want people addicted to prescriptions.
Marijuana is a drug that should have never been made illegal in the first place. Thats why a lot of Countries including mine (Canada) has made it legal to buy anywhere. Its a plant with a lot of health benefits including cures for some cancers. This is the reason it was made illegal the big pharma companies wanted to push their poison. There is no addiction to this plant like the big pharma drugs there is no major side effects like the big pharma drugs. Its a simple choice.
The worst that can happen is Serotonin Syndrome which takes years and years of heavy daily use. Aside from that I would deem that Cannabis is a truly safe and effective medicine. Also note that THC is absorbed through the liver when ingested, so if he has liver issues honestly vaping or smoking might hold the upper hand for someone who has previously abused pain meds to a point where their liver has suffered. Not medical advice just my honest opinion on the matter. Hope the best to you and your family
The only somewhat concerning thing I was able to find out about it is apparently it can alter brain development if used during youth. I don’t remember exactly what the cutoff was for avoiding this phenomena, but I think it was about age 25
Best your gping to find is newer studies suggesting THC can make brain cells go dormant. There are no real good studies that all seem to be more suggestive of what it does to the body more than cellular leven verification of the various interactions in the body.
On a side note. The gummies themselves probably contain more harmful product than the THC itself. Smoking at scale could(most likely does) have adverse health impacts since you are burning and inhaling organic material.
In the end none of these things are, in my opinion, likely to have worse side effects than taking any perscribed pain med.
There are a lot of studies that show usage of THC does indeed reduce cognative ability. By making brain cells go dormant. Stop sending and recieving. From the studies it seems to be temporary. Stop using for a while and the brain cells will start turning back on. So, not brain damage. Temporary loss of function.
I havent seen a study even come close to proving that it actually kills brain cells. But thry call it getting stoned for a reason. Someone who is stoned is not high functioning. Its pretty obvious the effect it has and why people do it.
And yes, I consider sugar a more toxic substance than THC. Not that sugar isnt in everything these days. But it does not make it any better to ingest just because its out there in abundance. Anything that is fully natural is going to be far healthier than anything man made. That includes the sugars and starch byproducts they use to create the jellies.
Reefer Madness? Hey, keep on thinking it does nothing wrong. I dont have to live that lie with you. Ive never seen a smoker who didnt have someone close to them that wasnt constantly reminding them of things that need done. Where things go. Or give them a kick in the ass to get off their ass and get something done. Theyre just stagnant. In life and in self.
CBD is a potent anti-inflammatory and is non psychoactive and non habit forming like THC.
Please don't let preconceived notions from the 1970's "Reefer Madness" propaganda deprive a loved one of natural, effective medicine.
Research CBD versus THC.

CBD likely illegal for so long in order to push opioids on the public.
Yes, governments want us docile on THC and CBD slid through the same door.
