I think he needs to put on his best smile as this will be the one that helps win the Presidency and becomes the iconic symbol of the campaign.

I personally do not agree with him smiling on a mugshot, for the following reasons (in order of importance):

  1. He’s not Justin Bieber, no need to stoop so low
  2. He’s not OJ Simpson, no need to stoop so low
  3. He’s not Lindsay Lohan, no need to stoop so low
  4. It sends the wrong message that one doesn’t respect the law even if it’s kangaroo. Optics is still important especially for a president.
