Those pupils look like a drug effect. Especially with light being shone directly on his face, his pupils should be tiny.

Not necessarily. Pupils don't react fast enough to a flash. Especially older people.

Actually now that I'm on the computer with a big monitor the pupils ARE pinpoints like they should be. It's the iris that is so fucked up that it looks like a pupil. Damn, those eyes now look diseased (not that they didn't before).
