I agree their accuracy would be low - but who would be the arbiter of “accuracy”? I think not one person or group can do it - it has to be each individual reader. No one “knows” wtf is going on (at least not completely).
Much of it would be proven just by playing a few extra seconds of edited video the media uses. Consider how many reports were done on Charlottesville or January 6 that could be proven false instantly.
I agree they’re way off the mark, but I take the Socrates view, “I know that I know nothing,” and by extension - no one “knows” anything in the real sense of the word. Are dinossauros real? Did Caesar really exist? Is the video I’m watching real or fake?
