Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
The heart of Adam is the bottomless pit. Our carnal heart is the bottomless pit. Only Jesus Christ has the keys to your heart. Only Jesus Christ can open your heart and replace your heart with His heart.
The heart of Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus Christ opens your heart, things start to happen in your life. Jesus Christ is becoming lord of your soul by conquering it.
The heart of Adam is not saved, it is replaced with the life of the Holy Spirit.
The heart of Adam is a dead heart.
Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
Jesus Christ is the angel of the bottomless pit because he goes in to conquer. Jesus goes into our Adamic heart and brings life to dead Adam, by replacing the Adamic heart with his heart.
The heart of Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit.
Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
The beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit is not the angel of the bottomless pit.
The beast here is the beast of false religion. It comes out of the earth(Adamic man).
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. (Rev 13:11)
This beast out of the Adamic heart looks like a lamb(good religion) but has the voice of the dragon(satan).
Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Adamic man is not written in the book of life. Adamic man is influenced by the dragon. Adamic man needs his heart replaced. The replacement is the heart of Jesus Christ. The new heart is the Holy Spirit.
The soul of mankind has an Adamic heart, run by the beast of the earth, powered by the dragon.
The soul of mankind is born with a new heart in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is the souls new heart, love, and life.
Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Jesus Christ has the key to the heart of man. The chain is truth.
Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Jesus Christ casts the dragon back into the Adamic dead heart, shuts the Adamic heart up, seals that Adamic dead heart, that it can deceive you no more.
Your soul's new heart is the living heart of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit in your soul.
This is some serious, grade A, allegorizing of the Biblical text, my fren.
Let's just pull meanings out of thin air and make the text mean whatever we want.
<thumbs up>
Thank you, L2TS... Revelation 22:18-19 comes to mind
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."
Also, this verse refers only to Revelation, not to the entire Bible as most people think.
True, but I still would not take any chances of adding or subtracting anything from the other 65 books
That's one of the problems I have with the NIV. They have deleted entire verses. And the online version changes constantly. I use my KJV that I received in 1966.
Fact
True
Spiritually interpretting the book is not adding to it.
I read the Revelation of Jesus Christ as spiritual reality.
It reveals Jesus Christ, His heart.
Unveiling the spiritual reality of the heart of Jesus Christ in the Revelation of Jesus Christ
Spiritually the bottomless pit is something.
The heart of Adamic man fits.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Grasping at spiritual straws
Your allegorical commentary borders, if not has already crossed into, complete heresy.
In no way do you back up your "commentary" with other Scripture (Scripture verifies itself).
If anyone is reading this, just pick up your Bible and read it yourself and let the Holy Spirit guide you with the Scriptures.
Spiritually the bottomless pit is something.
The heart of Adamic man fits.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
So are you saying that Jeremiah 17:9 has to do with the bottomless pit??
What are you saying?
And does the Scripture say that the bottomless pit is something spiritual?
I read the whole book as symbols of spiritual reality.
The dragon is a symbol
The beasts are symbols of spiritual reality
The Adamic heart is dead.
The heart of man is wicked above all things who can know it?
We're deceived by our own wicked heart.
"I read the whole book as symbols of spiritual reality."
Where does this hermeneutic stop, though? There is no textual restraint.
With your approach one can literally (pun intended) make the text mean whatever one wants it to mean. In which case the text becomes practically meaningless.
What OP is doing is spiritual indiscipline at its finest..
Correct, except we have the rest of the Bible to check against.
Adam being dead is a reality.
We have a carnal mind and a spiritual mind Romans 8:6.
Jesus Christ brings us the Holy Spirit is a reality
If you read Romans 8:9, Paul says that we are in the Spirit and not in the flesh.
In no way does the Scripture say that we have both a carnal mind and a spiritual mind. No where.
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
That's written to you.
The carnal mind is the flesh mind, the Adamic mind, the mind without God, and you have it until the grave.
Maybe you're wrong. Maybe you still have a carnal mind.
I'm not putting you down. We all have a carnal mind and a spiritual mind. Much of Christianity does not teach this stuff.
Romans 7 is the story of your carnal mind.
Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Romans 7 is your carnal man, the carnal man that you are.
Romans 8 is you as a son of God.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
You are both men
You are carnal and you are spiritual.
Your carnal man conforms to this fallen world.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
You have to make up your mind.
Jesus Christ has given you his heart in the Holy Spirit, follow the heart of Jesus Christ.
Yes, a symbol of literal Satan (the Serpent)
The Beasts are symbolic of Nations or World powers (See Daniel)
Heaven, earth, and sea can be read as three parts of man.
The sea is the lowest beasteal part of man.
The earth is the soul of man, neither good or evil, but influenced by the beast system.
Heaven is the spiritual part of man. Our spirituality is our heaven.
The two beasts come right out of mankind. Dead Adam is influenced by the dragon. Mankind influenced by the dragon makes beasteal systems, called the world.
We are not of this world, we are heaven dwellers in the Book of Revelation.
At least please tell me you believe in a literal hell... please
Your comment here reads your own interpretation into the Scripture and is borderline New Age and close to demonic
You're simply making things up. This is a terrible way to interpret the scriptures - or ANY text for that matter.
Tell ya what, I'm going to start taking your written text to me in this chat and applying the same principles you are applying to the scriptures. Lets see how it goes. mmmk?
And what guides you to read the whole Book of Revelation as symbols of spiritual reality?
Why wouldn't you do that with the other 65 books?
Is this how the Holy Spirit has illumined the Scriptures to you?
Using your own words, it seems that your own heart is deceiving you in your "spiritual interpretations". The "Adamic heart" is not even mentioned in Revelation
Great questions.
The book is called the Revelation of Jesus Christ, it means the unveiling of Jesus Christ.
John was given the vision in spiritual symbols.
Revelation 1:1 and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
But what John is seeing and hearing all have specific meanings that must be understood within the context of a 1st Century, 2nd Temple Jew (which John was).
The goal of a healthy Biblical hermeneutic is to extract the intention and meaning the author was trying to communicate, not whatever the reader wants the the words to mean.
I don't read time into Revelation. Spiritual concepts are for all time.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
The time of Revelation was right then, and it is right now, and it will be in the future.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is spiritual happenings right now.
It's an exciting way to read the book and receive the Revelation as spiritual reality.
Just Revelation. I've followed Jesus Christ for 4 decades, but ignored Revelation. I ignored it because I didn't understand it. The only version I heard was a carnal physical interpretation.
I'm not doing anything new. The idealist/spiritual interpretation is historically how Revelation wad read since it came out.
"The idealist/spiritual interpretation is historically how Revelation wad read since it came out."
This is a completely false statement and a complete lie. Your approach is undisciplined and it makes no sense that Revelation would be read differently than the other 65 books.
"idealist/spiritual interpretation" borders on mysticism and can be demonic.
Although there is symbolism throughout the Book of Revelation, the symbols are synonymous with how symbols are used in the rest of the Bible. NOT in the way you are making things up. You are treading down a dangerous path with what you are doing.
The idealist interpretation is not new, it is historic.
I've been in spiritual warfare for 4 decades, I don't fear the demonic, I triumph over it.
The church today might be teaching fear, I like winning. Jesus Christ has overcome, and we overcome through Him.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book of victory.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
It's a spiritual victory now thing
Grasping at spiritual straws
Spiritually the bottomless pit is something.
The heart of Adamic man fits.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Grasping at spiritual straws
Your heart before you were saved, do you remember it?
Paul says we were all dead in trespasses and sins, we all had a dead Adamic heart.
We still so.
Romans 8:6
To be carnally minded is death, to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Adam’s dead heart is our carnal man.
Jesus Christ's living heart is our new life, the Holy Spirit.
