I suspect it’s because a Sub-2000 is a pistol caliber carbine. And now since the ATF has recently made some ridiculous rulings regarding PCCs and braces, etc. they can point to a tragedy that just so happened exactly when they needed it to (as usual) to help back up their bullshit.
