I have an eerie premonition that the 'related crime' is what special counsel Jack Smith is going to charge Trump with. I tend to think the Mar-a-Lago 'confidential' document allegations is a distraction to what Jack Smith is putting his effort into.
Why is Jack Smith investigating J6 by subpoenaing former VP Mike Pence and officials in all 7 states targeted by Trump allies in 2020 election?
Bragg is making the claim that Trump interfered in the 2020 election. In Georgia, we are seeing the same with the grand jury investigation there.
Do you see it? This is the reason why DA Bragg did not list the basis for the 34 felonies Trump was charged with. It hasn't been announced yet by special counsel Jack Smith. I pray Trump's team is recognizing this.
“The jury could … convict defendant of falsifying business records if the jury concluded that defendant had the intent to commit or conceal another crime, even if she was not convicted of the other crime” In plain English, what these cases held is that prosecutors don’t have to convict someone for the necessary second crime. They only have to prove there was an INTENT to “commit or conceal” the second crime. It’s a thin distinction, but there it is. As I said he couldn’t have been “falsifying business records” with intent to commit or conceal the document bullshit 5 years later. That’s now how it works.
Agreed. You're thinking rationally, but this is not a rational court. How did the truth and facts help the J6 victims of the DC kangaroo court? NYC = DC. This court has to end before it gets started. I hope Trump has lawyers that will end it. If he appeals to a higher court it putatively is still in State Court. Some how I think this has to be a SCOTUS decision or at the Federal level.
