Past Presidents retain their title as President even out of office. But when not directly addressing the President a qualifier is put in place like former President Bush or Obama.
The strange thing is that when President Trump is not present during a conversation they will refer to him as President Trump. Sometimes they will call him former President but more often than not they still call him President Trump.
