Ok. When I get a whole bunch of fact checker saying it isn't true, then I know it is especially when he said there will be a pandemic coming on 2024. I will see if I can find other sources.
One of the important disinfo tactics is [them] deliberately putting out partially or wholey false information, so that it can be "debunked" on their 'fact checker' sites.
I believe this tactic has several objectives: one, create a false validity to their 'fact checking' and fc sites - "look, see, it IS false. you can trust us". Two, to discredit and obscure the actual truth behind the disinfo. "This information is conspiracy theorist nonsense.... (therefore ALL 'conspiracy theory' stuff is rubbish)"
Sites like Newspunch facilitate those objectives. I mean, why else would it be being run by a completely woke gay couple living in Los Angeles? They may have the personal goals of just making clickbait money off of unsuspecting people, but either way, they facilitate the above objectives.
Personally, what I would do if I saw a Newpunch clickbait piece that made me wonder about X, I would then research it. I would stay completely clear of promoting or using Newspunch for the above reasons.
If in fact Newspunch facilitates those aforementioned objectives, what is the solution or antidote? It's real research, real methodical digging, and the application of rigorous research practices. Readers NOT doing that is what they are counting on.
I just put out some bait to kill ants that are roaming around my beehives. How did I do it? I took about 1 part Boric acid and mixed it with 3 parts strawberry jam (or "jelly", in the US?). Boric acid kills ants. If i put the boric acid straight out there, they would ignore it. It doesn't offer them anything. But if I mix it with 3 parts sugary jelly, they will eat it, take it back to the ant hive, where it will be fed to the queen and the larva. The whole hive will be killed.
That's the same principle here. Clickbait and disinfo sites will offer a mix of sweet sugary stuff (the info we want) but infuse it with enough disinfo to direct, usually by triggering an emotionally satisfy response "I found this info that exposes [Gates]" for example.
Some of parts of the article may be accurate. In some cases, it might be 90% bullshite, in others, it might be 50% and yet others 20%. But the key factor here is, the purpose behind the website, and the people who run it, and the overall impact that website and activity has on the truth movement.
Anyway, that's how I see it.
But also, that's not to dismiss all the great content you unchained folks manage to get on the board. If half of us (including myself) managed to put out half as much, the board would be rocking non-stoppin'.
Not to belabor the discussion, but I find this sort of noteworthy.
Tried to follow this up a bit. In this case, the content is actually legit.
The NewsPunch is basically a verbatim copy/paste of this article on StrangeSounds.org, which is a verbatim copy paste of the actual notice by the Energy And Commerce Committee (see below).
But notice how neither of these sites even credited the origin of the text they were publishing copy/pasting. All they did was copy/paste, and whack a headline or two on top of it. Which is pretty clear indication of the purpose (clickbait), imo.
Notice also that there is no reference at all to "Bill Gates" in the actual sauce from the E&C Committee notice.
So where is the data that somehow links this to Bill Gates, a Bill Gates lab, or Lab associated with Bill Gates? Neither website provides any of that.
Why did they put Bill Gates in the headline? Because they know we all hate Bill Gates to pieces.
So, we know that there is actual research, and that the E&C committee believes that it would produce a monkeypox virus "1000 times more lethal", etc. But the stuff about Bill Gates is unproven, un-sourced, unresearched. It's simple clickbait.
So, where might this information go? Imagine someone talking to their normie family member, saying "Bill Gates is producing a monkey pox virus 1000 times more lethal". If it is not actually factual, it discredits the person in the eyes of their normie family member.
Anyway, I liked digging around this stuff, because I despise the clickbait sites with a passion, and now I know the real situation much better.
Either way, Bill Gates IS a wanker....
Here's the letter that the Govt Notice copied by NP and SS links to, dated March 30, 2023:

Thanks for the good info about the gay couple in LA. Personally, I use DE instead of Boric.
Got you. Newspunch not the right place to go.

I actually saw all that too. I just happened to find Newspunch easier to understand for most. That's why I put out the Newspunch instead. LOL
