I lived and breathed Bloom County as a kid. It was my early exposure to the political world. And it shaped my own humor for life.

In 1988 I was 13 years old and had a Bloom County presidential campaign T-Shirt

"Bill n Opus '88: A Desperate Choice for Desperate Times"

Also I will always smile at how Bloom County ended with a story arc about Bill the Cat somehow getting Trump's brain.

My brother loved Bloom County, he had a T-shirt with Opus wearing the fruit on his head and he even gave himself a Bill the Cat tattoo!
