My husband's son from East Palestine was here yesterday with his family. His daughter who is in ninth grade was talking to us about high school. What she was saying made my blood boil. Keep in mind this is a small extremely conservative town.

She is on the color guard which is always girls. She then proceeds to tell us they just put a boy, who thinks he is a girl, on the color guard. She looks at me and rolls her eyes. Then she says I am the ONLY girl on the team that is straight. They all claim they are gay. With her saying it, in not the exact words, I realized they are picking on her. They told her she can't wear or have anything rainbow because she can't have it because she isn't gay. Then she tells me they all worship Satan and the majority of the students have Satanic tattoos.

I looked at her and said you look them in the face put your head up high and say, I am straight and proud of it and don't engage in your insanity. Then tell them you don't own the damn rainbow God does. She looked at me and said I have to be nice and not do this because the school will say I am homophobic. I said bullshit. Stand the hell up.

Her parents who are extremely conservative said to her, you have to understand they are going through a phase to be accepted by friends and their social media.

I said do you guys not get it? This isn't a phase it is brainwashing. The more they do it then they begin to live it. This isn't a rebellious phase like they did sneaking around in the day to smoke or drink. This is brainwashing pure and simple.

This is what is going on in the schools. If this is happening there what the hell is going on in the larger schools?

I have no words for this insanity.
