I have been considering attending and possibly converting to the Orthodox Church for years now. Just been afraid to take the leap for some reason. God bless you all.
You won't regret it, I'll be praying for you.
Thank you. I would truly appreciate it.
My niece and her husband officially joined/babtized into the Orthodox church about two weeks ago.
That's wonderful. Many blessings to them. I hope I'll be able to say the same about my husband and me one day.
Yes, and to think she was raised mormon.
I took the leap and am so pleased. I really love my church and am learning so much more about Christianity and the Bible than I did as a Protestant. These ancient liturgies allow me to sink deeply into myself where I feel close to God. I trult feel myself becoming a better person. Why not give it a try?
A Blessed Palm Sunday to my Orthodox family! 🌿🕊️
Fun fact: here in Russia we use pussy willows instead of (or in addition to) palms since they bloom right around this time and that’s what the children would have used if Christ were to come down the street here!
Here in the USA, in the state of Iowa, I had a pussywillow and a palm for my Palm Sunday procession.
I'm not Orthodox but I watch a couple Orthodox monks online and love them. Joining a Church seems to be a huge commitment, not sure I'm up to it. I'll copy the channels below maybe you'd enjoy them. https://youtube.com/@FatherSpyridonROCOR https://youtube.com/@mullmonastery
Father Spyridon is a huge inspiration. I heard a priest say recently that once you join the Orthodox Church, you can't expect your life to get better. You've only just entered the arena. And from everything I've seen, this is the truth.
It WILL get better as in deeper. When we obey God he takes us to places we could never imagine. Anons have tasted this on the Q journey to the Great Awakening...so expand from there to fill a whole life and we’re talking about the same neighborhood.
S P R A Z N I K O M u/Anosha, u/EmperorConstantine!!! Blessed Holy Week to all♥️
Fr. Spyridon is a priest not a monk, just thought you should know that.
I've also heard that Seraphim Aldea at Mull Monastery promotes CRT and leftist stuff. I'd recommend better sources like Fr. Spyridon Bailey, Fr. Josiah Trenham, and Fr. Peter Heers.
I know Fr. Peter Heers and I endorse this message!
