I don't know how much having Trump in office can accomplish at this point. I have read some pretty dire predictions about the viability of this country past about 2030-2035. There has been such a sea-change in permissiveness and downright laziness with younger people, as well as crime, that the social fabric and trust that a society depends upon no longer exists.
This is where my pessimism comes from, as well. A younger generation has been cultivated to be selfish and technology dependent. Removed from spirituality and family values, they lack the ability to work as a group towards larger goals. Urban centers are collapsing and the birth rate is plummeting, especially among middle class and upper middle class individuals. There are serious problems with our monetary system and our infrastructure, as well.
I believe we can do some parallel univers-ing and leave people that don't want to change in the cities. Everyone else can get out and work the land/ be free.
To be honest, if we're going to re-green our desert Prarie lands, we'll need large populations of dumb-dumbs that want to stay in population centers and financially support the regenerative agriculturists. For a few years anyway.
