My sense is that Rowling basically agrees with their clueless ideology 99.5% of the way yet they want to crucify her for questioning one aspect of their current gospel, which will likely be completely different a few years from now.

That 99.5% should be less than 50%, currently. And this fight between trannies/woke mob and JK Rowling started a couple of years ago when she vocally objected to women being called "menstruating people" by the woke mob. That is the start of the fallout between her and the woke mob.

To be honest, I wasn't paying attention to JK before then on Twitter, so I am not even sure if she was woke at all before that incident. I would need to a deep-dive into her tweets to see where she stands before all of this.
