There is so MUCH these people do NOT KNOW regarding BRAIN function.
For example, in drug overdose cases, some do not show any activity hence the hurry to declare them "brain dead". New research showed that an overdose patient with "no brain activity" needs AT LEAST 24 hours and the brain will start showing activity again.
There are many cases of "drug overdose" causing lack of "brain activity".
Personal experience:
Family member had major medical event. In coma for 10 days. On day 2 of hypothermia treatment, the ICU specialist (treatment wasn't finished yet and the event was less than 72 hours prior), the specialist came in to try to convince us to "pull the plug", remove life support. It Took 10 DAYS for her to come out of the coma. If we had agreed, the ICU guy would have killed her.
The medically induced coma drug is stored in body fat. The time for the drug to leave the body is different for each individual.
Having experienced the horror of the Organ Donation UNDERBELLY, these "guidlines" have always been frightening.
