I liked how Dexter had a Cuban cop who was a scheming duplicitous idiot who was flat out told she only got promoted as a diversity hire, and in a later season the commissioner got tired of her shit and replaced her with another diversity hire, a Haitian, who immediately started using police resources for personal vendettas and had a nervous breakdown when the lab tech said her demands weren't possible.
