But for a long time, there were Recon Marines, obtaining the dual cool status of 8654, (jump and dive qualified) some even went to ranger school and earned the tab, which was carried in their pocket. The elite few were considered a triple threat. While the SEALs are bad ass, the Force Recon Marines had the same training, and remained silent proffesionals with no notoriety.

Understood. It was just a response to "the best of the best" comment. There's a code amongst the teams about being a "silent proffesional". Many Seals still honor this creed, but others definitely seek attention and monetary gain. I have mad respect for the old 8654 Marines. No one knew or heard of them until the movie "The Rock" MARSOC now is a different animal.
Until you.
