You're interpreting things incorrectly. If you had a watchman on a guard tower, who could see the enemy coming and warned you, would you call him a "doomer"?

The state of 'dooming' includes helplessness and not being able to do anything about it; there are many experts who have known about these things for decades, and there are things you can do to protect yourself.
