I was not expecting to catch anything, or if so not particularly concerned about a glorified flu.

So what was it on Christmas day 2021 that suggested to me powerfully enough that after a personal record breaking inflammatory condition for 2 days (not even entertaining the possibility of the coof), I lost my sense of smell for 10 days, nothing I've ever experienced in my life? And the prolonged unusual lethargy for days after that, something I had no interest in experiencing or being anxious of catching.
