For a medical dispensary card, or "legal" recreational purchases, you consent to no nock warrantless searches, and willingly give up your 2A possession & ownership rights. A simple misdemeanor if that possessor has a weapon, becomes a Class E felony at a minimum. You also remove yourself from employability in 85% of the jobs where I live. The other topic linked is not about end running disarming the citizenry gun control, but abhorrent nonetheless. Giving kid diddlers mandatory prison would thin their numbers, since it is common knowledge what happens to them in prison (assuming they go to their junk appropriate prison).

25ish states allow cannabis. But, there is 11e on Form 4473
The Brady Act introduced the legislation that now prevents medical marijuana patients from purchasing firearms.
In August of 2016, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that simply having a medical marijuana card, is enough to suspend that person's 2nd amendment right to purchase a firearm. One could go on here.
Simply stated, a cop in any state finds pot AND a gun, you have a illegal firearm possession, then a felony, then no 2A
