On the contrary their stock has recovered almost to the same level it was before the controversy.
As a GameStop ape for the last 2+ years I know for a fact the market has zero to do with retail sentiment or fundamentals.
Negative sentiment and even falling sales will have no real effect on price discovery or stock value as long as the large hedge funds and market makers control the algos and can route orders off-exchange at any time.
Whoever pulls the strings can keep Anheuser Busch stock green even in the face of sustained backlash. The only way the boycotts work is if they stick for a LONG time and sales are in the gutter for a sustained period, but people tend to have short memories.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that conservatives actually stick with the boycott but honestly the right has a poor track record when it comes to actually showing up when it matters. Carhartt comes to mind. How long did that boycott last? I still see it going strong at Atwoods and other retailers, conservatives still buy their products en masse.
As far as I'm concerned, most "conservatives" are all talk. It's no wonder they stay taking losses.
I think Bud may be an exception. Too easy -not- to remember queer beer tranny fluid.
