Melatonin implants in cats?

No wonder they are having this effect, melatonin is a hormone your body has when you're sleeping. It's not meant to be there all day and all night.

implants would jack up the melatonin level at inappropriate times.

I don't think it's poison, our body uses it, but it has to be at the right place and the right time or it'll cause issues.
